FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions – Kuoksa Husky & Snowmobile Adventure

What is the Kuoksa Husky & Snowmobile Adventure?

This tour combines two of the most popular Arctic activities into one exciting experience. First, you will mush your own team of huskies on a 5 km self-drive safari, learning how to guide the sled through snowy forests and open trails. Afterwards, you switch to modern speed and power with a snowmobile ride across Lapland’s winter landscapes.

The total duration is approximately 5–6 hours, including:

  • Transfers

  • Husky kennel visit

  • Sled ride

  • Snowmobile safari

  • Snack / rest breaks

No prior experience is required. Your guide will give you clear, step-by-step instructions before both activities. The husky safari is shared—one person drives while the other sits comfortably in the sled, and you can switch halfway.

The adventure is designed for participants with a normal level of fitness. Driving a husky sled requires some balance and standing, while the snowmobile ride requires focus and safe handling, but both are suitable for beginners. Children can enjoy the tour as sled passengers or on the snowmobile with an adult driver.

We provide warm overalls, boots, gloves, and socks, so you don’t need to worry about heavy outdoor gear. Still, we recommend wearing layered clothing underneath, a warm hat, and wool socks for extra comfort.
