The journey starts in Rovaniemi, the perfect place to begin the hunt for the Northern Lights. Your Aurora Hunter/Guide will pick you up from your hotel, ensuring a smooth start to the adventure.
Our team has carefully planned the route based on the previous night’s weather, upcoming forecasts, solar activity, and cloud coverage in Lapland. Before heading out, your guide will go through the evening’s plan with you.

We start our journey by searching for a clear, cloudless sky in the Lapland region, with our chosen spots varying each night. Every evening, we carefully select the best possible location to witness the Aurora Borealis. The ideal spots are usually open areas – lakes, mountains, and wide-open spaces — free from visual obstructions and with minimal light pollution.
With over 1,000 carefully selected Aurora spotting locations across Finland, Sweden, and Norway, we use our expertise to find the best possible place for each night’s unique conditions.

Every night is different. The Auroras can be visible for just 5 minutes or the entire night. Some nights, she can be shy and elusive, while on others, she dances above your head, painting the sky with all the colors of the Aurora.

Aurora photography
A professional photographer is included in every tour to ensure we capture stunning, high-quality shots—just like those perfect “Instagram-worthy” pictures. Aurora photography can be challenging, but our top-quality cameras are designed specifically to capture the Northern Lights at their best. Our photographer will also assist you in using your phone or personal camera and teach you valuable techniques for filming in the dark.
You’ll get unlimited amount of photos (as many as we can take), plus videos and timelapses if possible, so you can relive the magic again and again!

During these months, weather conditions are often favorable, and aurora activity tends to increase around the equinoxes.
